Action Groups
To enable the Wildlife Clubs of Kenya work effectively, and help in the clubs work in all the regions it was necessary to establish action groups in all the ten regions of the country. This is a group made up of teachers (Patrons) of the clubs in their schools. This is an essential group of dedicated patrons who help to run the activities of the clubs in the regions. They form an important link between the secretariat and the clubs. They form part of the most important organ of the Wildlife Clubs of Kenya called the National Coordinating Committee Meeting (NCCM). This is the organ that decides the calendar of activities for the year. This group meets twice in a year to review achievements and challenges and come up with the plan of activities/work plan for the next year.
Action groups are very important and are the focal points in all regions of the country especially where Wildlife Clubs of Kenya does not have a regional office.
The current Action Groups are to be found in the following areas: Nairobi,
Masai Mara, Central, North Eastern and North Rift.
